Ascella Vega
(Rock)

The North Carolina based band Ascella Vega consists of Adam Newson (vocals/keyboards), Gray Henderson (guitar/vocals), Reaves Greer (drums/percussion), Mark Voller (bass), and Ryan Wooten (guitar/vocals). After forming in 2005, Ascella Vega began making rough recordings in both Raleigh, NC and Nashville, TN to send to venues around North Carolina. After playing numerous shows, various college parties and winning a few local battle of the bands, they decided it was time to make their first CD. In the fall of 2007, with hopes as high as the stars Ascella and Vega, the band began recording in Morrisville, NC and released their debut EP, "Put It In Motion" on March 26, 2008.

Beggar's Caravan
(Roots Rock)

Band founders Chris Barkley and Kevin Thornton gathered no moss after they met in Boone, NC, as they swiftly rolled downhill to the Triangle area to start a musical journey that continues to surprise even them. The pair rounded up the accomplished duo of drummer Brandon Allen and bassist Paul Benner to complete the Caravan family tree. The band’s first studio album, Take Me With You, finds the group performing at a creative peak, both in the studio and at their widely-acclaimed live shows. The tracks instantly capture the listener and carry you along life’s familiar roads. Influences such as Tom Petty, Nick Drake, Wilco, Steve Miller, and the Allman Brothers wind their way into this beautiful musical ride, from the intimate to the raucous to tongue-in-cheek wit.

Main Stage
2nd Session
8:30pm - 10:00pm

Yesterday's Gravy
(Funk, Jam, Improv Blues)

To describe the music of Yesterday's Gravy is no simple task. Each member of the band relates to different forms of music and instead of focusing on one particular style of music they nurture each others interest to create a living eclectic sound. This may include elements of funk, bluegrass, reggae, R & B, soul to even folk.

We feel living music is a language, which is as universal as the emotions it conveys; encompassing at times feelings such as joy, sorrow, fear, rage, childish, even euphoric. It is in that respect we feel music should be a form of "free speech". Yesterday's Gravy's demeanor on stage is relative to that in life, celebrating the now and disregarding that which cannot be changed.

We consider ourselves a family band in that we feel we have few friends, and an abundance of caring brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers. Much of our songs are based on family, places, and events that unfold before us which we personify through our music.
